Hi, nice to meet you!
My perspective is a blend of user experience, advocacy, and development, from the mountaintop view.
I’m a firm believer that an inaccessible website is incomplete and simply unacceptable. My duty as a designer is to real people who use our digital products, as well as to my development team, to effectively communicate my intentions and set up expectations for quality control.
Organizations that think strategically and address accessibility from start to finish, win.
I’m interested in fixing the broken experience that is largely the entire web. I’ve reviewed some websites with a screen reader that really need help. With my blend of knowledge, I want to design quality experiences from the start, enhance the mindset of fellow designers, and also work with developers to remediate sites.
My personality type is an advocate, so I do best in positions where I’m allowed to do that. I’m looking for an opportunity where I can channel technology through my skills to help people, the environment, or a good cause.
Outside of design, I’m an obsessed basketball fan, video game player, and I enjoy skiing and hiking the mountains near my home in Colorado. Fun fact: I’ve hiked 144 miles this year (as of 9/27/23), and counting.
